DVA-400: Dehumidification

The HealthyAir DVA-400 removes up to 160 pints of water from the air per day. It uses a specially configured heat exchanger and refrigerant coil to cool the air below the dew point,. then removes the moisture from the air in the form of condensation (latent heat). The DVA-400 also contains a blower that permits continuous blower operation independent of dehumidification. This function provides a flow of air through the filtration system even after the optimum humidity level is achieved. By utilizing this feature, the system will continue to filter and exchange the air, providing continuous air purification.

DVA-400: Ventilation

The mechanical ventilation system housed in the DVA-400, draws fresh air from outdoors at a rate of 50 to 150 cfm (cubic feet per minute). An internal damper system allows you to regulate the rate of fresh air exchage. At 150 cfm, a home 2000sf (with 9 ft ceilings) would exchange all the air in the home every 2 hours or 12 times per day.

NOTE: Most dehumidification systems do not offer mechanical ventilation. Without the introduction of fresh air, you are simply recycling old stale air. The HealthyAir DVA's provide both ventilation and dehumidification.

DVA-400: Air Filtration

The DVA provides air purification through 2 stages of filtration. The first filter is a pleated filter with a MERV 8 rating. This prefilter will remove over 90% of the particulates larger than 2 microns which would include mold spores, dust and pollen. The second filter has a MERV 11 rating to capture the even smaller particulates, such as lead dust, legionella, and auto emissions.

NOTE: Most dehumidification systems do not offer air filtration. Air filtration would then have to be added as a separate system. HealthyAir DVA's provide not only dehumidification, but also excellent air filtration as well.
